Accessorize

>> 11 January, 2011

An extra touch of clever accessories adds more depth to our wardrobe, offering a wide range of choices like bracelets, necklaces, belts, rings, hats, and bags to name a few. But overdoing it can be an eyesore especially if it doesn't fit the overall look we want to achieve so think twice before inserting a pin or two. Unless, your intent was to be a head-turner either in a good or bad way. lols XD

Anyway, whenever I get to window shop, I never fail to check the accessories that are usually located near the counter. I always do this even if there aren't any good clothes to buy. I tend to find something unique, scrutinize each one, and visualize myself wearing it.

These past months, I've bought some nice accessories and would love to share it to you guys.

Badges

I don't think they are called badges but they do have pins on them, does that count? Anyway, I bought these at Glorietta 4 and was thrilled to see a bunch of them in different shapes, and sizes. It even has some miniature objects attached to them. Cool!

I went to the office wearing the left one. It was attached at the top-center (where the knot of a neck tie is located) on my short-sleeved-polo-cardigan. I got noticed right away because I look like those Kpop stars or an anime dude going to school XD

Dorky Glasses

First off, I'm not a stereotype because I really am dorky, geeky, and weird but I never wanted to look like everybody else so I chose a yellow framed glasses instead of the usual black or white ones.

Bow Tie

I bought this at Folded and Hung... oh the joy of wearing this XD I always wanted to try one of these because it does look cute and it fits my geeky attitude lols

Last year's Christmas Party I wore both the Dorky Glasses and the Bow Tie together and this is how it turned out...

YEAH!!! XD

Cellphone Accessory

Anybody familiar with the anime Fairy Tail? To keep things short, I'm not a fan of Lucy Heartfilia but I like her Celestial Keys - she collects these to summon a Celestial Spirit; Golden keys are the 12 Zodiacs. I bought a Leo at Comic Alley because I'm a fan of his :p

Hope to get a Scorpio soon :)

Shoelaces

Yep, more shoelaces added to my collection :) I bought these three pairs at Penshoppe. I was tempted to buy these last month and luckily, I didn't gave-in because the price was slashed. It was worth P179.99 but now, they're selling it for P99.00!!! Including the box!!! WOW!!!

I guess everybody wasn't keen to shoelaces like me :p

Anyway, I hope to find more unique stuff here and there :) How about you? Do you have any accessories you want to share?

Everybody Dance by TSMV

I don't know how to formally introduce the year so I'll put up a smile and say "HELLO 2011!!! *pirouettes, leaps, lands on bended knees, and throws punches in the air* :D

Plus! I'll mesmerize everyone with a song included on Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2, that is, TSMV's "Everybody Dance" - a revived version from Chic.

Yes, yes it has this retro feel but what are you waiting for? Click the play button and dance with me :p

Note: Scroll-down for the lyrics :)

As always, this is another song I have been addicted to recently because of its feel-good-vibe. I can even relate to the lyrics. Come on! Who doesn't? XD

Now that I turned into a zombie listening to this song, I decided to do choreography on some parts of the stepchart. Focusing on the video below (personally uploaded on Youtube), it looks fun to groove into because the arrows aren't glued together giving opportunity and ideas for turning, a foot switch, and some extra hand movements.

I need to practice this more often to achieve a smooth flow from the choreography I concocted. Anyway, enjoy the song :)

Lyrics:

Everybody dance, do-do-do
Clap your hands, clap your hands
Everybody dance, do-do-do

Music never lets you down
Puts a smile on your face
Any time, anyplace
Dancing helps relieve the pain
Soothes your mind, makes you happy again
Listen to those dancing feet
Close your eyes and let go
But it don't mean a thing
If it ain't got that swing
Bop-shoo-wa, bop-shoo-wa, bop-shoo-wa

Chrorus:
Everybody dance, do-do-do
Clap your hands, clap your hands
Everybody dance, do-do-do
Clap your hands, clap your hands

Everybody's dancing
Lift your feet, have some fun
Come on everybody, get on your feet
Clap your hands
Everybody's screaming

(Chorus)
