Love & Joy by 木村由姫 (Yuki Kimura)

With the release of Dance Dance Revolution X3 VS 2ndMIX at Japan last month, without doubt, players outside Japan are going crazy to play this. The long wait for respective arcades to update the game would take months or worse, years.

I'm sure most of us are surfing the net to listen full versions of the new songs added. I did an entry about Crazy Love by Jun a year ago so in this post, I give you a J-Pop song titled Love & Joy by Yuki Kimura.

Love & Joy is really catchy. The kid-like atmosphere makes me wanna get up, dance, and be wild XD The downside? Its low-budget music video lacks the enthusiastic vibe it showers. I recommend listening to the song with your eyes closed, it gives a much more happy feel :)

According to Play-Asia, Love & Joy was released in the album, "La La La Love & Joy Para Para Super Best" on March 14, 2007. Most likely, the song was out either late December 2006 or early the months of 2007. Information is scarce.

Anyhow, the song got more popular when an anonymous made a cutesy, adorable, choreograph dance file from a MikuMikuDance (MMD) software with a Vocaloid character named Hatsune Miku, dancing to it. Origin of the dance steps still remains a mystery.

The song with the dance steps turned into a meme. Teens from Japan, mostly girls, have taken the time to learn the steps, record themselves, and have it uploaded to Youtube. Below is one of those videos.
