Manga Realities: Exploring the Art of Japanese Comics Today

The Japan Foundation and The Ayala Museum, co-planned by Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito proudly presents "Manga Realities: Exploring the Art of Japanese Comics Today".

From August 16, 2011 to October 2, 2011, the exhibit will spotlight 9 manga works that have emerged since 2000, namely:

1.) Matsumoto Taiyo: Number Five (Shogakukan)

2.) Wakaki Tamiki: The World God Only Knows (Shogakukan)

3.) Igarashi Daisuke: Children of the Sea (Shogakukan)

4.) Yasuno Moyoko: Sugar Sugar Rune (Kodansha)

5.) Sakuishi Harold: BECK (Kodansha)

6.) Ninomiya Tomoko: Nodame Cantabile (Kodansha)

7.) Asano Inio: Solanin (Shogakukan)

8.) Kyo Machiko: Sennen Gaho (Ohta Publishing Company)

9.) Kuramochi Fusako: Five Minutes from the Station (Shueisha)
