I have your illustration in this YoCard

Graphika Manila 2010 was a blast with speakers Arnold and Cynthia Arre, Phunk Studio, Underground Logic, Danny Yount, Tara McPherson, and Rocketsheep Post feat. Avid Liongoren.

On July 30, Graphika Manila 2011 is back for another amazing line-up of speakers, namely: Weta Digital, Mike Friolo, Laundry!, Dan Matutina, 27+20, and Seph Mayol.

I'm excited to attend the conference again not only because it's my second time but I'll be able to be around creative minds again :)

This year, I have to prevent a certain neglected power to research about the speakers.

Why? Well here's how it goes...

Danny Yount, whom I didn't knew at first, passed by in front of me during lunch break. That afternoon, he introduced himself to the audience and I was like bonking my head for not talking to him personally or have a picture of him with me when I had the chance XD

One step at a time, I went to the speakers' websites, read their bio, and absorbed their works.

I followed Dan Matutina's twitter and mentioned him on a tweet, "Hey Dan can't wait to hear you at Graphika Manila 2011 :)"

I wasn't expecting any reply but he did.

I tweeted back, "I've been to your portfolio and I loved your use of textures".

Surprisingly, one of his works was familiar to me.

The illustration for the Visuals With A Vision YoCard I got took from our school's front desk during the early months of 2010 is actually his work.

I tweeted, "Hope if you have time, I could get you to sign my Visuals with Vision. I have the red one. I'll bring it along, just in case :)". He was happy to hear it. I do hope it gets signed XD

From this point, my research is paying off. I'll be doing some more :)
