It's near...

A day more and it is September already. I have tons of unfinished projects in my book and I have yet to prepare for another.

This 'another' that I'm referring to is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. For now, it would be a secret. Some of you might have guessed what project I am up to but keep it to yourselves, the fun hasn't even started :)

Right now, the idea has been set. It's time for some research and networking :)

A shoelace discovery

This afternoon, I opened my closet and found three unused pairs of shoelaces that I bought eight months ago. A pair of white laces with two rows of evenly spaced dots of girly colors, a pair with a yellow and black checkered pattern, and a pair with a smiley pattern of varying sizes.

The prints on these shoelaces quickly caught my attention like a whip. I was like, "Who wouldn't go crazy with the design?"

I knew I had to buy these for sprucing my sneakers someday. I know I have had replaced the laces on my current sneakers but I can't resist the urge to have them. It was a debate. Nevertheless, I ended up purchasing them :p

Until now, I'm surprised to why I haven't used them yet... I guess buying a new pair of nifty sneakers would be the solution :)

I can't sleep! I had to play some of my Djmax Technika songs to transport me to dreamland. But it didn't help either 'cause the song Jealousy by 3rd Coast kept me in the mood to stay awake.

I fell in-love with Jealousy months ago because the simple beat, the lady's voice, and rapper just blew me away! Everything was well arranged and fun to listen to like all the Korean songs.

Now, I scavenge the net and found the lyrics to the song but find it dubious. I don't want to waste this blog entry with scrap in it so I had to do some editing. I carefully listened to the song over and over again about 20 times (or more) and ended up matching the lyrics close enough :)

I have been listening to Djmax Technika 2's Original Soundtrack and find it superb like its sibling 'cause the variety of genres to listen to is delicious to the ears especially to those who crave for something new.

Okay so here I am once again to dish out my current favorite song from this installment. It's called Cosmic Fantastic Lovesong by DINY 'cause I love the simplicity and cuteness of the singer's voice, the dreamy video, and the various choice of beat elements that contributes a lot to the composition of the song.

It's Friday the 13th! As I have mentioned countless of times, it's my uber favorite day! :)

As you may have noticed, the banner theme I made for this day is retro 'cause I'm feeling groovy hehehe... :)

RPG Metanoia

RPG Metanoia is the first 3D full length animation in the Philippines made possible by Ambient Media with partners ABS-CBN and Thaumatrope. It will be on cinemas this December as part of the Metro Film Festival 2010.

Let's join Nico (Zero the Vagabond Traveller), Cel (Sargo the Pool Shark - Vagabond Traveller L-3), Mark (Ahdonis the Folk Hero, Daniel (K'mao the Chi Master), Bryan (Mang Ernie the Spiritist/Monster Hunter), Bobby (Sumpak the Weapon-smith), and May (C4ss4ndr4 the Beast Master) journey to Metanoia as they uhhh... hmmm.... ?

The animation is indeed superb but what I worry about is the story. We all know how Filipino movies turn out to be cheesy with tons of redundant pinoy elements...

So to calm myself, I visited RPG Metanoia's website and read through the main plot of the movie. Turns out, it's an overview. It doesn't tell too much and there wasn't any information about who or what will cause the chaos inside Metanoia.

It's still a big question mark.

But I'll give the team some time to update 'cause RPG Metanoia's website was officially launched two days ago.

In conclusion, I will watch this movie 'cause I don't want to miss one of the Philippines' firsts! :) It's a groundbreaking phenoma made by Filipinos for Filipinos. And take note, this 3D animation took four years in the making! It's an effort I want to see :)

Party on a public FX Van?

It was a typical rainy day with people running around finding shelter. My mind jolted me to board a public FX Van preventing more damage poured-in by the clouds.

Wipe here, wipe there, and I'm good as new :)

While on board, there wasn't much anything to do but sit around, check mobile phone for text messages, look at the person across you, scratch your shoulder, day dream, sleep, and check mobile phone again.

I took a moment to look at the rain... then all of a sudden... our vehicle's windshield wiper started to move... it gave an odd back and forth sound.

I smirked.

The wiper presses the windshield too much creating this funny beat. It prompted me to take out my digicam and started filming 'cause this interesting beat may be a viral beat inspiration someday XD

Manila Art 2010

Khim and I attended the Manila Art 2010 at the SMX Convention Center last August 1, 2010 where it exhibits contemporary art of the Philippines' leading galleries and of the Asian region. It is the second international art fair hosted in our country.

I was uber excited for this event not only because I was a newbie but I was into the rewarding feeling to see great works of art. Everybody sees things differently and expresses it through speech, writing, dancing, singing, music, research, painting and all the likes. To which I conclude... In art, there's never a wrong or right answer, thus, it makes it more interesting to discover and explore the hidden.

Well anyway (sorry to drift :p), the moment we entered the main room, everything that I have pictured in my mind blossomed into a reality. Such a fuzzy feeling :)

Fanny Pak

Fanny Pak is a seven-member dance crew from Los Angeles, California which composes of Matt Cady, Phil Collins, Beau Fournier, Tiffani Grant, Cara Horibem, Megan Lawson, and Glenda Morales. The group appeared on the second season of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC). They landed third place to which was quite a surprise for me 'cause Super Cr3w's 80's dance was average.

Anyway, I love Fanny Pak because of their eccentric sense of style to the creative way of movements, and use of props when they perform.

From ABDC, the one performance I can't take my eyes off from them was a Master Mix by District78 from Michael Sembello's song called 'Maniac'... So wish there was a full version of it :( Anyway, watch them dance..

I honestly got addicted to watching this video hohohoho XD

The detail and clean flow of body coordination is such an eye pleaser! With all that power and energy, I can assure you, you'll never get bored seeing them dance :)

Cory Aquino's 1st death anniversary

I know I'm late but last August 1 was the first death anniversary of our Cory Aquino.

Forgive me for not remembering. Anyway, The Manila Bulletin quickly caught my eye 'cause the cover was unique among the rest as it is shows a huge caricature of Cory Aquino with her signature Laban sign.

Ticket to Graphika Manila 2010

I'm excited to attend this year's Graphika Manila International Multimedia Design Conference this saturday at SMX Concention Center. It's the most influential multimedia event for professionals, and students with creative minds for design.

This is actually my first time to attend Graphika Manila so I'm quite anxious to how things will turn out. I have had read news and seen pictures from the previous event and I must say, it's a wow! Sadly, I missed attending them due to my lack of knowledge about it.

I told my classmates about this but only one of them was willing to come. I invited some more people but unfortunately, all of them backed out. Which means... I'm going to the conference alone.

Yes it's sad but I still have to attend not because of the money I paid for my ticket, but because of the opportunity that I have in my hands. I have to grab it 'cause when I found out that Graphika Manila was two weeks away, I was jumping up and down 'til I reach heaven! I was happy, full of joy, and bubbly, bubbly, BUBBLY!!! If you could only see me smiling for hours!!! No, seriously! It's like I'm wearing a straitjacket! XD

Besides, it would be a stupid excuse to say that I don't have anyone to go with me :p Wake up people! The event only comes once a year :)

Anyway, hope to meet the same people as I am :) Let's have fun at Graphika Manila 2010 :)
