The Story of Bottled Water

>> 15 October, 2010

The disposal and the manufacturing of bottled water is a problem that causes havoc to our environment. Moreover, producing boxes of the final product takes a big chunk of energy and natural resources that adds up to nature's wrath.

Although, this problem is minimal at our country because most of us either drink from tap water, buy bottled water then refilled with tap, or purchase big containers, then be refilled from water refilling stations.

But still, this is a global issue that needs to be heeded because not everyone is lucky to drink clean water; and plastic completely pollutes our surroundings!

Here is a short video about "The Story of Bottled Water"

I think there's nothing wrong from buying bottled water as long as you don't purchase them everyday, maybe once every 2-3 weeks. Remember to reuse the bottle (not more than two 'cause it's cancerous) and refill it with clean tap water. Also, sell these at recycling centers :)

you have a good point here....

the use of bottled water by an individual may not be a serious thing, but if you take into account all the people around the world "benefitting" from bottled water, that is an alarming global concern - considering how polluted our planet is. i wish many would recycle and if possible avoid buying bottled water. its far more economical and practical to use water bottles coz u only have to buy it once and there are many designs to choose from.....

keep writing about such topics.....good job!

@fredo, Thanks. Everybody should be aware of the consequences we do when dealing with nature. We'll be hit before we know it!
