Devastating gulf oil spill

>> 04 June, 2010

The Gulf of Mexico oil spill last April 20 caused a devastating effect on our environment. It has polluted crystalline waters and killed a wide range of animals from birds to underwater sea creatures.

The drilling rig Deepwater Horizon, owned by Transocean Ltd. and leased by BP PLC, is responsible for this catastrophe. The spill occurred when an explosion took place killing 11 workers.

It has been 45 days since the oil spill. Efforts to stop it is prepared but sadly, it wasn't successful. At this point, between 18 to 39 million gallons of oil is in the gulf.

Below are images from the spill. Believe me, it's quite disturbing :'(

I can't do anything but pray, be green, help mother nature in my own way, and broadcast news from my blog.

Please, let's save our environment...
