Archie Comics' first openly gay character

Archie's world has a wide range of stories from the mysteries to hang-outs to the imaginative to the fun to the emotional and to the impossible. But has it ever struck you that a gay character would be a possible addition to the gang?

Well get ready to meet the openly gay dude named Kevin Keller on Veronica #202 this September 1st.

The full-issue story, "Isn't it Bromantic?" introduces Kevin to have successfully won over Jughead in a burger eating contest at Pop's Chocklit Shoppe. Veronica desperately wants the new guy but for obvious reasons, he doesn't want her. On a conversation at Pop's, Kevin confides to Jughead that he is gay.

Whoa, I guess this is something to look out for :)
