In the Philippines, Boysen Knoxout was tested in the walls of the Guadalupe MRT station 'cause it was considered the most air polluted areas in the metro with over 150,000 vehicles pass by each day. The project was a success that surprisingly, the Guadalupe MRT station was said to be the largest air filter in the world XD

The introduction of Knoxout is part of a movement to do deal with air pollution - One Wall One World.

Well I must say this paint is ingenious! We're finding more ways to be green and this is definitely one of it. Spread the word everybody :)

DJMAX Technika

DJ Max Technika is an arcade game published and developed by a South Korean company Pentavision Entertainment and designed by ponGlow. The music video game is played by tapping various notes on a lower 22-inch touch-screen while being broadcast to the spectators on an upper 32-inch screen.

The DJMAX series is obviously made in Korea 'cause the graphics of all the songs are animated just like the Pump it Up series. The game also has an online ranking game with the use of platinum cards to which costs about P300. A bit pricey but I still opt to buy it XD

I was truly fascinated about the game 'cause its cool and it seems fun XD I didn't hesitate to try it but I asked experienced players to guide me to the basics of the game. How did it turn out? Well not bad for a beginner :p I'm a bit sloppy but all that matters is I tried it.. and that's not gonna stop me from playing XD

Hmmmm I may hook myself with this game for awhile :p

My HP Space: My Computer, My Stage

My HP Space is the first pan-Asia reality series where 16 finalists from different fields that includes illustrators, architects, graphic designers, and film directors to name a few, were selected from 2,000 digital auditions to compete for the title, the $50,000 as well as a job on the live-action remake of cult anime Bubblegum Crisis in Australia.

The show is hosted by one of Asia’s most popular TV personalities, Paula Malai Ali.

I'm thrilled to watch this but I'm confused to how the judges would decide who will win when in fact, each of them has their own specialties. It's not like you can compare this to Project Runway, America's Next Top Model or Last Comic Standing 'cause you know they're competing for.

But even though the My HP Space contestants have their different fields, one thing that connects them together is thru art and inspiration. This show is something to look-out for especially if you are one of them.

Anyway, I'm routing for Raffy Francisco (Philippines), Adrienne Vergara (Philippines), David Tang (Singapore) and Uni Lee (Korea).

Oh-Wheezers' temporary layout?

Why?

Good question.

My personal blog, Oh-Wheezers, has been experiencing technical issues regarding it's commenting system. If you could still recall my blog entry about me installing JS-Kit, well I was wrong being happy about it.

I've lost my patience! Why haven't I thought of uninstalling this before?! Dunno, maybe I've gone loco and waited for nothing!

And to top this, after kicking JS-Kit out of my blog, most of my widgets aren't working at all!

Oh crap!!!

I immediately surfed for blogger layouts to support my precious Oh-Wheezers and by bumping into "BNC Fashion", I fell in love with its simplicity XD And, surprisingly, my widgets are working in order *pats himself at the back*

I don't know if I should keep this layout, heck I may stick to it as long as I want :p

Leonid meteor shower: sightseeing

After posting my previous blog entry, I gazed at the dark sky again to see if the Leonid meteor shower is starting early but it didn't so I took a nap.

About quarter to 1 in the morning, still sleepy, I stood outside our house and hoped to see some meteors hitting our atmosphere. It took awhile but still I had no luck. Maybe because our house lights were blocking my view of the stars.

I took a nap.

By 3:57am, I rushed outside our house 'cause I might miss this opportunity! This time I turned off our house lights and stared at the partly cloudy dark sky.

And voila! After patiently waiting, I saw a dash of Leonid meteor XD It was totally awesome!!! From time to time, I spotted strong and weak lighted meteors coming in from our atmosphere.

By 4:21am, I decided to go back to dreamland 'cause it was chilly outside. I slept with a smile seeing 10 Leonid meteors, 3 undefined red moving blinking objects and 1 aching nape XD

The Philippines will be lucky to witness the Leonid meteor shower between 11pm today to 6am the following morning. If the weather stays clear for the whole night 'till the wee hours then we can enjoy art in motion.

This meteorological phenomenon is created by the Tempel-Tuttle comet that passes through the inner solar system every 33 years on its orbit around the sun which leaves a trail of pea-sized grains that ranges from the colour white, blue, aquamarine, and green.

I'm actually anxious to see the meteor shower tonight that tempted me to stare at the dark night sky making sure the show doesn't start early :p Oh well, let's pray we could get a look at this awesome phenomenon XD

Tamagotchi by Squeezer

Back in my high school days, a Tamagotchi is a popular must-have toy where this key chain-like gadget possesses a tiny digital creature you can take care off by feeding, playing, and making it fall asleep. It's simple but the whole process takes time 'cause your character starts off as an egg and works it's way up as a cute adult creature.

Recently, new models and versions of the tamagotchi are made but still, I'm glad our generation started the trend :p

In conjuction with the topic, a song called "Tamagotchi" by a pop group named Squeezer made this song for the toy. It's a nice, fun song we could all dance to XD I bet everybody knows this. Enjoy XD

Yay to Sesame Street 'cause this children show had celebrated their 40th Anniversary last November 10. I'm proud they reached this far 'cause they give quality, educational, and meaningful episodes to the kids.

I didn't grew up with this show but I do get to watch some episodes and I do know their opening theme lols Oh by the way, I recommend looking through this A-Z trivia about Sesame Street XD

Manny Pacquiao on Time Magazine cover

Manny Pacquiao is featured on the front cover of the newest edition of the Time Magazine. He is currently the 2nd filipino after Corazon "Cory" Aquino and the 10th boxer (Joe Louis, Max Schmeling, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Frazier, Cassius Clay aka Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey, Primo Carnerra, Gene Tunney and Mike Tyson) to be published on the magazine's cover.

Luckily, I have a copy of this but surprisingly, it didn't sell like hotcakes unlike Cory Aquino's 2nd cover publication of the magazine. I know this would be a collectible so I assume people would realize that XD

Anyway, Time Magazine targetted the southpaw boxer from General Santos to his roots and how he began his way up as a professional boxer. This is a must read if you want to know how Pacman becamse a boxer today.

My Birthday: the story

I felt guilty for not spilling details to how my birthday went so now I'm showing some highlights to how everything turn out.

But first off, this isn't a planned "birthday celebration" 'cause there wasn't a plan at all. My co-workers and I decided to drink Friday night (November 6) just to release some stress and just chill but when they knew it was my birthday the following day, it was the cue for a whole new plan. But still, it's not my party at all 'cause all of us paid the bill :p

We had fun drinking and listening to the performance of a live band to which interests me 'cause they sang Nobody by The Wonder Girls and Fire by 2NE1 in Korean :p COOL!!

We even bar-hopped and groove on the dance floor (What I've been waiting for :p)

Wahhhh so miss the dancing.. Would wish we were jam-packed with people :p

Manny Pacquiao "Pacman" guests at Jimmy Kimmel Live

Weee...!! Jimmy Kimmel's interview with Manny Pacquiao was awesome! I laughed extremely hard and boy did I get to know some information about the pound for pound boxer in just a few short minutes 'cause Jimmy targeted most of Manny's interests and background of his life and family. The interview also serves as a promotion of Manny's fight with Miguel Cotto on November 14 (US time), November 15 (Philippine time).

One of the funniest moments in their conversation was the stick he uses in his training to which Manny focuses more on mind conditioning, another was about his daughter's name as 'Queen Elizabeth' and lastly, was about the PacMan game XD After a quick commercial, Manny Pacquiao sang Dan Hill's 'Sometimes When We Touch'.

Ready Steady Go is a song by Japanese rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel to which was used for the 2nd opening theme to one of my favourite anime series, Fullmetal Alchemist (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi) XD The song tells about a person's desire to reach someone and is oblivious to the obstacles ahead.

I loved this song so much that I've memorized the Japanese lyrics back when I was in college. I'm getting a bit rusty but I'll recall some parts that I've mispronounced XD

Koobface virus attacks at Facebook, Myspace, Friendster and Twitter

Koobface is a computer worm that infects computers and laptops thru a video link that requires users to update their Adobe Flash player. Once this is installed, the virus can get valuable information such as credit card numbers, thus the process repeats itself by sending the same video link to your friends list in social networking sites: Facebook (Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.b) , Twitter (WORM_KOOBFACE.DC) and Myspace (Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.a). Variant W32/Koobfa-Gen can be found to the aforementioned websites also to hi5, Bebo, Friendster, and Tagged.

The safest way to prevent your computer infected is to be cautious to anyone sending the video link and be doubtful to anyone sending it to you.

The Monkey's Paw (1902) by W. W. Jacobs

The Monkey's Paw (1902) is a short horror story by William Wymark Jacobs published in England which is about the White family who have acquired a talisman, the monkey's paw from a friend who have travelled to India, that can give three wishes. Strange as it seem but will their wishes turn out to what they expect or do they suffer the consequences of a mummified monkey's paw..?

This short story can give you a few chills and can spook you in the middle of the night MWAHAHAHA!!! It's still the early days of November so let's keep the spirit of Halloween alive XD

It's November 1 and it's another filipino tradition to visit our dead relatives and friends. And with that in mind, I'm still troubled to memorize the family tree of both of my mother and family sides. I guess everyone does :p
