If the black shoe fits!

>> 29 April, 2009

The tropical climate in the Philippines is freaky especially this summer! You'll have to make a guess whether it would rain or shine. You could even surprise yourself that you're wrong! But lately, it has been raining a whole lot! And it's bad news for my office shoes.

To tell you the truth, I've been wearing worn-out and damaged pair of office shoes. They're actually talking to each other XD I haven't thought of buying a new pair because the current ones are still wearable and I don't have that much money to buy a new one because I've been saving money for something special.

But with the rain liberally making water puddles, I've accidentally been stepping onto some and ending up with wet socks. I know, gross! I always take them off quickly when I get home for it will 'cause unnecessary odor, and harmful effects to which I will regret in the future.

Today, my right office shoe is severely damaged! After working hours, I went to the mall to buy a new one.

En route to the mall, I made a budget of P1,500.00 to buy at least 2 pairs of black office shoes. Why 2? Well, I've read an article that the more you use an apparel, the more its life decreases so by using it seldomly, you can assure that it would last longer. This is ideally true, if you have been using the same blue shirt everyday, the more its colour would fade.

Back to the topic. Being eclectic and a reasonable buyer as I am, it didn't took long enough 'till I found 2 pairs to my liking. The first one is a Mario D'boro. It's price has been slashed off twice so the price is just right and I truly adore it so much even if it's just a plain one.

P800.00

What I love about this are its soles. Yes, the soles are rubber so it's similar to a trainers which is uber cool because it's not formal at all! :)

The next pair is a Milanos. Yup it's simple, just the way I like it :)

P600.00

I've managed to spend only P1,400.00 :) Oh btw, I'll be wearing one pair per week, then switch XD

As you've noticed, I'm not stylish about my black shoes unless its a trainer or a sneaker. The thing is, I don't feel that anyone would notice it and besides, my job involves a lot of walking so why bother buy a classy one if it would just end up quickly in the trash? It's not reasonable at all.

Swine Flu outbreak

>> 28 April, 2009

News has it that a disease called the Swine Flu has spread from Mexico to it's nearby countries and outside that boundary. It was stated that at least 150 people died from Mexico alone. Authorities have canceled schools from all levels and even festivals that were about to happen in the country.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a Phase 4 to swine flu meaning that the disease could be easily transmitted from human-to-human resulting to outbreaks. A vaccine hasn't been made but it's treatable with a medication called Tamiflu or with a Relenza.

Freaky huh? It bothers me knowing a new disease is on the loose. This also shows how our planet is getting dirtier each day. Anyway, the best thing that you can do right now is to get all the possible information about the Swine Flu. Stay healthy.

My second time at Villa Escudero

>> 25 April, 2009

The verdict for our company outing was to go to Villa Escudero which is 3 cities from ours about a 1 1/2 hour trip. But honestly I doubted that we'll have fun because the only thing that I'm into right now is the beach XD

It's actually my second time at the Villa Escudero. It's been years since our family went there making me anxious to see what changes has been made and see great memories of our family rooted the place.

Well I guess I'm wrong, we had a blast! We went to the museum filled with awesome artifacts and antiques, hopped on a carabao ride with some singers at the back, ate lunch on a river with flowing water from a man-made waterfall (yup our feet are wet while eating XD), watched a Philippine cultural show which I didn't attend to because I was swimming in the pool for hours hahahah!!! XD

Here are some pics from our outing :) Edited pics are credited to Joeven, my co-woker. Thanks! :)

Do it! (feat. Lee Yoon Jeong) by House Rulez

>> 24 April, 2009

Last month in our forum, I've noticed that each of us have their own unique taste of music to which I find fascinating. It urged me to make a thread where we can feature only 1 to any singer, group, band, album, song, etc. that we would like to share. But this will not be done simultaneously, only 1 member per week shall have the power to feature and only members who wish to participate in this thread, by stating that they would like to be a part of this, shall be allowed to feature.

Anyway, Francis featured a Korean group called "House Rulez". As I am a house buff, this has driven me to know who they are. And after hearing their songs, I was stuck in pure bliss! I just can't get enough of them!!!! XD I'm totally hypnotized to how they create wonderful beats and rhythms for they've combined house with electronic to jazz to the class and RnB! WWWWWEEEeeeeeee....!!!

Without further ado, here is the song that has totally got me obssessed with them :)

DanceMachinesPH 3rd geb :)

>> 19 April, 2009

YAY! It's DMPH's 3rd geb at the Festival Mall, only three months after our 2nd at the Mall of Asia XD I am very pleased that a lot of members attended this event :)

But honestly, I let my seriousness get carried away. I've been thinking of things to do on our geb like where to eat, what to do next or how to teach my fellow members to play Dance Dance Revolution or Pump it Up. We didn't have any plan at all! I'm usually this type of person whenever an event is about to happen, I want it to be planned out and stick to it as it was supposed to. There was this moment where we wasted an enourmous amount of time deciding where to eat *sighs*

I guess I'm just thinking too much XD We sure had fun which resulted to hangovers to some of us :)

Here is a picture and videos for your viewing pleasure :)

Oh my, this has becoming a ritual every geb XD

Just goofing around XD

Under the Sun at Cagbalete, Mauban

>> 18 April, 2009

More swimming!!! hahaha you just gotta love the beach! XD Glad my co-worker invited me to Cagabalete, Mauban for some swimming. The place was a total knock-out! Soft white sand, picturesque views, clear blue water, and a sun shining brightly to the vast ocean! AAAhhhh... such a relaxing atmosphere... the feeling was indeed unexplainable :)

The beach that we went to is a semi-private island owned by my co-woker's closest friends. So like hell yeah! it was an experience of a lifetime! XD

Here are some pictures showing how beautiful the Philippines is :) Image credit to Joeven, my co-worker.

"I Get That a Lot" Celebrity April Fools Prank

>> 02 April, 2009

I've been to youtube lately and got to see videos of a new neat show called "I get that a lot" where famous celebrities fool people, take a usual job and convince them that they're not who they think they are.

Enjoy watching :)

Heidi Klum as a Pizza Girl. Heidi is a model and a host in one of my favourite reality shows called "Project Runway".

Jessica Simpson as a Computer Technician. As we all know, she is a singer and her younger sibling is Ashlee.

Jeff Probst as a Cashier. Jeff is the host of a highly known reality show called "Survivor"
