Philippines top Earth Hour 2009 campaign

>> 31 March, 2009

I was looking for results about Earth Hour 2009 when this news came in view. It says that our country tops the Earth Hour campaign!!!

My reaction was, "Really?" with a raised eyebrow, mouth wide-open, and a you've-got-to-be-kidding-me? look. I just couldn't believe it! I was speechless!!!! O_o

In the article, I've find it funny when they said that "The Philippines participated in Earth Hour because we don't want to lose"... Shocking? It's like a publicity stunt huh? But hey don't look at me like that! I joined Earth Hour to increase everybody's awareness about global warming. Even before this campaign started, I already did ways to save energy and the environment.

I just hope our country can defend our position being first. Please oh please my fellow filipinos let's make a change not a farty publicity bitchness! XD I know we want to win in everything but please stop making a fool of ourselves!!!

Ahem!

Anyway, here's a news video about Earth Hour 2009 in Manila, Philippines. Just browse to the left for that news.

My Sweet Darlin' by Wildside (English Version)

>> 29 March, 2009

I can't go to the arcades because in a few more days the blister in my right toe will be gone YAY! :) Just waiting for it to be healed completely! And after that, Pump it Up and Dance Dance Revolution, here I come!!!! mwahahahaha!!! XD

Anyway, I'm currently addicted to a DDR song entitled, "My Sweet Darlin'". Japanese singer Hitomi Yaida sang this song but the english version by Wildside is much more cooler! The song is really fun to dance with even though the lyrics is sad :)

If you know where I can download the full mp3 length of the english version, please tell me right away because I need to have a copy of this. I've searched endless hours for this song but I failed to acquire one :(

Click here for the complete Japanese lyrics from Meilin's version :)

My Sweet Darlin' by Wildside

Lyrics:

No good to have lots of beautiful things
Because I'm scared to lose them
But... I want you, I want you, I want you
Even if you love someone else
I don't care if you don't know why the clear sky is blue
But I want you to know

Why my cheeks are pink...

Darlin', darlin' please come here my baby
Can't you see? Yes, it's me
Darlin', darlin, don't you remember those kisses
You got to remember
Darlin', darlin' fed up with your profile, look at me
Please look at me

I hope all the buildings and streets in this world
Will explode and be gone
Because if there is nothing, then I can find you easily

There is no god
Because I prayed and prayed to him
My heart would touch you
I've prayed, I've prayed

Darlin', darlin' please come here my baby
Can't you see? Yes, it's me
Darlin', darlin' what happened that day
You can forget it, I don't care
Darlin', darlin' everything in my mind
Is it just an imagination?

I see you're walking towards me
I tell myself don't be shy and don't look away
Without my action nothing's gonna change
I don't need a filter in my heart

Darlin', darlin' can I come close to you?
And can I talk to you?
Darlin', darlin' can I hope you'll love me?
But if you say "No!" I will love you

[EDIT - January 14, 2012 - 7:08 PM]

Someone uploaded the full version. YAY!!! :)

Forgive the cover of this video, just listen to the awesome song! Enjoy :)

My Earth Hour 2009 pictures

Well as destined *lols* my laptop hasn't finished updating it's security features yesterday so boo hoo I didn't get to post my pictures after Earth Hour 2009. But anyway here they are :)

My sister took this one of me

Also this but darn it's blurred! I kinda love this one XD

I took this one myself.

I decided to place a candle outside our house so that everybody would know were participating the Earth Hour 2009 and hopefully they would participate too :)

But sadly, it looks like were the only house with our lights turned off! I hoped and prayed that our neighbors would flick their lights off! Maybe they haven't heard about Earth Hour or they're thinking that this event is a joke or shy or just aren't interested. My heart was crushed seeing the fact that their lights are still on... :(

Anyway, how did you celebrate your Earth Hour?

1 1/2 hours left before Earth Hour 2009 XD

>> 28 March, 2009

Currently, I'm blogging not in the comforts of my humble home, instead, I'm stuck in a really hot internet cafe filled with losers aka gamers. My laptop is currently updating its security features but what puzzles me is that I have run it this morning but up until now, it's not yet finished! To top that, I haven't blogged about Earth Hour which is today so being here in this internet cafe is inevitable!

Anyway, I've updated within this week the Earth Hour post at our Office.

Hopefully, the updates of my laptop is bound to be finished after Earth Hour 2009 because I will post pictures of that event :) If not *sighs* then I'll just post it tomorrow :(

EARTH HOUR 2009!!! WOOHOO!!!! XD

Sore throat *groans*

>> 25 March, 2009

I'm not feeling well today. I woke up with a sore throat! My voice got deeper, my throat is itchy and really moist. My temperature was a bit hot when I was doing my "Stress" blog entry yesterday, just never thought it would turn out this bad.

Right now, I don't want to go outside because it's too hot and I don't want to stay inside the office too much because it's cold! *groans*

My boss and I have a lot of tasks to finish and being sick is not an excuse. Therefore this afternoon, I'll be heading to the market to buy some oranges, calamansi, grape juice, and some medicines.

I'll leave you with this comic strip.

Stress.. Tra la la la la XD

>> 24 March, 2009

I want to talk about stress today because we had a wonderful mini-seminar about stress management in our office. I want to post this badly and fast because right now, I have an errand that is due tomorrow.

Thinking of what to say and brewing opinions about stress in this blog entry makes me realize that I'm stressing myself XD Oh man this is hilarious!!!

I'll just give you the bottom line on how to handle stress. If you don't want to die early or have a bunchful of sickness in your body then deal with this matter! Stress can add age to your life so stay out of it to look young. And always be optimistic, open-minded, do things right and on time, live a healthy lifestyle, smile, learn to understand, and don't let others tear you apart.

Daniel Radcliffe Gay Kiss

>> 23 March, 2009

Just this afternoon Teddy has blogged about a much more interesting news than my uber gross blister. What else could it be than Daniel Radcliffe receiving the Best Newcomer Award for his West End performance in the movie 'Equus' at the Theatregoers Choice Awards and literally being kissed spontaneously in-front of an audience by a guy named James Corden, who is actually the host for that event.

I surfed this incident and it's confirmed that they did kiss. And on top of that, it was last year's news XD Oh how late were we to know this juicy.. oh! I mean umm... this mouth-watering tid bit XD

Here's the full video along with his speech.

In an article, Daniel said he was not embarrased but surprised and finds it a funny gesture. He played along with James' spontaneous kiss by letting him do that and him putting his arm around James' neck. Talk about being professional, great job Daniel :)

If you scrutinize the kissing scene, James did pulled Daniel unto him and Daniel was obviously surprised. Besides, how was Daniel supposed to break it off if the crowd kept on clapping and cheering. Showbiz? hehehe...

Anyway, in an article, James Corden said that he is planning to kiss Daniel because there was something magical in him. Talk about his fetishes while watching Harry Potter wave his wand *wink *wink. And he defined Daniel's kiss to be wonderful even his p****. HAHAHHA!!! When I read that, it left me hanging XD

If Teddy finds this disgusting, wait 'til he reads my previous blog entry "Mad TV - Gay Straight Guys". Go on, check it out for more guy kissing fantasies hahahaha!!! I'm insane! XD

Blisters anyone?

>> 22 March, 2009

This post is related to my "The dance machines maniac inside me" blog entry last Wednesday. What I forgot to tell you in that post was that a medium-sized blister has formed below my right toe. I know, gross!

And now it got worse! I once again played dance machines in the arcade consecutively and suffered the consequences for it has gone bigger! O_o

I've been having mixed emotions with this incident! I'm laughing at myself because a gross looking blister has formed on my toe and it if I played again, it could cover up my entire toe! HAHAHA!!! I'm also freaked out because it may get worse and it may take a long time to heal! I'm also threatened because I have to take extra care avoiding it to be infected. And lastly, I'm sad because I won't be playing for a while :(

I surfed-up some related articles on how to heal a blister. But it was no good! Most of them wants to pop-it-up and remove the fluid! *groans*

I'll just have to let this heal on its own and be extra careful...

Icon filpino singer: Rico J. Puno

>> 21 March, 2009

I can't believe I'm actually posting something about Rico J. Puno when he is an '80s singer that I didn't give much attention to. And don't you dare think I'm old just because I'm posting this XD

Whenever I hear his name from people older than me, the first thing that comes in my mind was "Are you kidding me?? Yuck! Corny!!!!" with a confused expression like there's no return :) I bet most teenagers of my age and kiddos would react just like me.

But now, I kinda like him. Well here's the story, I'm at the office for my overtime when the maintenance group played Rico J. Puno's songs aloud. I didn't mind them because I was busy doing my work and I was a bit sleepy so a music of any kind would be nice. While listening, I was quite surprised how I familiarized the songs being played because most of them were revived like Ang Huling El Bimbo, Sorry na Pwede Ba, and Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko by filipino musicians.

I heeded the lyrics to Rico's songs and find it very interesting because they were simple, easy to understand, and it targets the emotions of the people. This I must say is the reason why he became popular and loved by our fellow pinoys.

I'm proud of him, he has true pinoy blood within and is a singer at heart. You just gotta adore him :)

Movie Review: Meet the Robinsons (2007)

>> 20 March, 2009

Back before, I've anticipated watching the Meet the Robinsons movie because the trailers seems good, the graphics are awesome, and the story is quite interesting but when I've watched it, it's not what I have expected. A bit of highs and lows for me, although the graphics never let me down.

Correct me if you must but as far as I've noticed, this is the first movie launched by Disney when they bought Pixar Animation Studios. Am I right? XD

On with the review, I was browsing channels to find something interesting to watch when I've noticed a familiar character, like yeah! It's Meet The Robinsons at the Disney channel. But the story has already took off so I've started watching at the part where Lewis is already in the future.

To tell you the truth, I got bored because there were a lot of ideas clashing together, with that in mind, there were snapping of scenes like you want to focus on this character when all of the sudden it focuses on another, and on another and so on...

But wait! It got interesting at the pre-climax of the movie. Then it got back to "Whhhhaaaatttt???!!!" But nevertheless, I had fun watching the movie. The producers have stirred up a lot of side-stories circling the Robinson's to which they could've lengthen the movie but hey! I think they're just focusing on Lewis so why bother add more stuff about some other characters?

[SPOILER ALERT!] But to tell you the truh, I was caught up with the scenes where Lewis got to see himself in the future and to the past and where he had realized that there was a bright future for him. And it's all up to him to make it happen. Kinda struck me, just don't know what it is... [END OF SPOILER]

Ahem! The movie has a potential for a tv series or a sequel. We'll just see about that :)
Oh by the way, Keep Moving Forward!

Rating: 3.5/5

The dance machines maniac inside me

>> 18 March, 2009

As usual, I'm tired from work and blah blah blah about work, you know the rest hehehe...

To take out that huge junk of stress out of my system I've decided to play some dance machines in the arcade.

When I got to the arcade, I bought dozens of tokens and didn't hesitate to play Dance Dance Revolution 6th and Pump it Up New Xenesis because I didn't have much time left to play.

It was fun to sweat excessively after doing a bunchful of tasks from my daily life.

While I was playing, I can't believe that I could play a lot and consecutively! I was surprised myself because usually I get exhausted and stop for a few minutes to rest but this time, I was full of energy! Token after token, I played like it would never end! I even caught myself laughing hysterically mwahahahaha!!! XD

I didn't want to end the fun but sadly, I had to go home. I want to continue more and more XD
I'm still having a hangover from this experience XD

Kingdom of Pretty (Bassmonkeys Mix) by Bonnie Bailey

I don't want to include the lyrics because the beat is nice heheh.. have a pleasant morning :)

[EDIT] October 18, 2010 - 10:09 PM

Replaced imeem embed with the youtube video; added lyrics :)

Lyrics:

Strollin through
Elysian fields with you
Our lush first hypnotic phase
Cooing words meltin’
Ice glaciers keep me
Turning to the next page

Chorus:
Everday is our first time for something new
As compelling as you are to me I am to you
Curiosity has me peeking through
Your kingdom of pretty
A formless flow a magical symphony
Consumed by the fragrant possibilities
Curiosity has me peeking through
Your kingdom of pretty

You feel familiar
A comfort that comes with years
Sparkles flush my skin
Eyes swell up in tears as I
Trace your footsteps around the world
Pushing movely
You’re like a little girl
I flutter among the butterflies

Chorus
Instrumental
Chorus

The Amazing Race 14

>> 10 March, 2009

After watching episode 4 of The Amazing Race 14, I could definitely say that this season is much more exciting than the previous one. Good thing they've noticed that the prequel was really boring! There were less bickering, challenges were lame and all the teams were not that competitive, hence, I lost interest to watch the rest of the episodes.

Anyway, in this season, I'm routing for Asian siblings Tammy and Victor, both lawyers graduated at Harvard. They were infallible from the first 2 episodes but on the third episode, their bond collapsed. Victor breaked down when he put the blame on his wrong decisions and that he didn't let Tammy in on doing things together. Tammy on the other hand got hurt when his brother thinks that she can't do anything right. It's a good thing they're still in the race because their relationship is worth strengthening.

The other team that I am also routing for is Margie and her son, Luke. This is an interesting team because Luke is deaf since childhood. Throughout the race, I am fascinated the way they communicate thru sign language, kinda cool! :) Anyway, if you've watched episode 4, Luke took the Road Block. He got frustrated with the word puzzle, what was funny and cute about that moment was when he did this gesture with him having a closed fist, shaked his folded arms side to side near his chest while saying "NNoooo..." XD I was finding a video of him doing that but there wasn't any available. Darn! I want to show it in this blog XD

Come Running by Darren Styles feat. Francis Hill

Lyrics:

Running every night,
You say you want me
I will make it right,
I will come running
All you ever need
Our love is dawning
Look outside
I'll be there tonight!

Garage (the magazine) and the Song of Freedom

>> 08 March, 2009

I'm taking some time to read one of my recent favourite magazines, and that is Garage. I've barely read some of the articles due to my busy schedule and loafing around XD. Garage is jam-packed with articles because it's a bi-monthly magazine. And it's still new in the market, making it's way for it's 4rth issue this February-March 2009.

If you're a guy and into knowing the latest trends, grooming, music, fitness, and etc. then I suggest buying a copy of this magazine. It has tons of guys wearing clothes hehehehe... Anyway, you won't regret my recommendation about this mag :)

Anyway, I'm reading the 2nd issue of Garage featuring Akihiro Sato (They have a double cover for this issue. The picture on your left is not the cover that I have XD). While browsing through some articles, the CD Review caught my attention because of Rico Blanco's debut album "Your Universe" but atop of that review is the Buddha Bar X album by DJ Ravin. I'm into club songs so this definitely caught my attention.

Based from the review, the Buddha Bar X is much more different than the previous ones because this album is a lounge type. Reading further catches my attention to the reviewer's reaction to song #2 in CD 1 entitled, "Song of Freedom" by Thierry David. It says here that it's sung purely in Tagalog!!

I was like, oh really?! I looked it up on the net. I listened to it and it is a lounge type of music sung purely in Tagalog. Without hesitation, I downloaded it and uploaded it on my imeem account XD.

Here is the song. Enjoy :)

Tagalog: a second language?

>> 04 March, 2009

We'll be having a first Friday mass at our office and I was assigned for the first reading. I was in total shock because my public speaking especially in Tagalog, one of the languages in the Philippines, ain't that good. In fact, I always get nervous. When I read in-front of a huge crowd, the most common thing you'll notice is that I stutter and get tongue-tied... a lot!

Anyway, I've found a nifty site where you can learn our language, SeaSite: Tagalog. I'm currently reading some short stories to practice my tongue with some Tagalog words that are hard to pronounce. I've been immersed to the English language so much that my Tagalog reading skills suck! XD

HHHhhmmm.. there is a serious matter about James' blog entry that I've read last year. He blogged about Tagalog being the second language in our country. I totally agree with him because Filipino nowadays tend to blend with the English speaking community so well that we forget to use our own language. In fact, everything is written and said in English, our media, government, companies, etc. But that doesn't mean that we forget how to speak Tagalog, what bothers us is that the English language is taking over everything. Believe me, it's for real!

I Don't Know Why by Moony

>> 02 March, 2009

It's been 2 weeks and I haven't posted anything about my Davao vacation but don't fret because I will post them, I promise XD.

Anyway, I've been loving Moony's song entitled "I Don't Know Why." It's severely stuck on my head! I just can't get enough of it hahaha!! :)

I'll let you unravel the meaning of what the song is all about. Enjoy :)

Moony - I Don't Know Why

Lyrics:
Never happy, not satisfied
Always complains for nothing
Hopes and dreams are fading away
It's not hard to figure it out
There's no doubt, you'll find a way
Live the moment, each and every day

CHORUS
I don't know why
I cannot see the beauty in front of me
I cannot...
I don't know whay
I cannot see the beauty in front of me (in front of me)

Now I see here
It's always been there
People like their simple things
Live the moment, each and every day

CHORUS
I don't know why
I cannot see the beauty in front of me
I cannot...
I don't know whay
I cannot see the beauty in front of me (in front of me)

Is it there?
Is it right there?
Right in front of you (right in front of you)
This is what you've been looking for
For a long, long time
Make it real, make it right now (make it right now, make it right now)
You've got to live it now

CHORUS
I don't know why
I cannot see the beauty in front of me
I cannot...
I don't know whay
I cannot see the beauty in front of me (in front of me)
