Emo...

>> 30 January, 2009

It's like 11:15 in the evening and I'm feeling a bit emo... I think this is the 'cause of an overdose of stress from work!!! I'm sick of it! Can't focus that much and I feel that I just need time (lots of it!) to relax, free my mind, and get back to my senses...

I have tons of things I want to do in this life aside from my work!!! It's taking a huge, huge, HUGE amount of energy away from me!!!

*groans*

Ducktales Moon Theme and Mega Man 3 lyrics :)

>> 29 January, 2009

I've always been a fan of youtubers whose videos are totally unique, and funny! Either be about vlogging, cooking or just making videos for fun.

Just this morning, I've recently subscribed to "brentalfloss" and like WOW! all of his videos are funny!!! Aside from being a vlogger, he adds lyrics to game theme songs :)

Here are some of his works...

Ducktales "Moon Theme"

This is the first video that I've watched from him, this caught my eye like a flash of light because I love playing Ducktales in my Family Computer when I was kid. I think I still have that game buried somewhere around the house :) And he featured the Moon Theme!!! I so adore that instrumental :)

Lyrics:
Ducks
Yes Ducks in outer space
From the Disney Afternoon
To the moooooon...

Wait Uncle Scrooge, you need a suit out there!
How are you alive?
You need heat
(You need heat)
Also, air
(Also air)
Thats gotta be one expensive cane
You are up on the moon, looking for treasure, youve gone insane

Ooohhh...
Crazy duck in space
Yeah, youre really greedy and youre old

You got a creepy Scottish accent dude,
and you bathe in gold!
Bathe in gold!!!

(That cant be good for you.)

This oughta be the ending credits theme
Its a soaring song, flying high like a dream
But it was used as a level tune
Underscoring the life of a retarded Mallard on the f***in moon

Ooohhh...
Crazy duck in space
Oh, I hope you keep me in the will
You could buy the moon and say
Put it on my bill

On my billll!!!!

Youre a duck, oh my god

Scrooge McDuck, you're on the moon!

Mega Man 3

Another funny video!!!! and the lyrics are the best! :)

Lyrics:
"I am Mega Man
I'm blue and cyan
The creation of Dr. Light, or "Right" (if you are from Japan)
Also known as Rockman.

My Mega Buster can cut the mustard
I'm a flustered am -
putee
POW POW!
Eight robot bosses in eight levels
dishevel and revel in devilry,
I'll steal their weaponry

Mega mega man mega mega man
Mega mega man mega mega man
Mega mega mega mega mega mega mega mega
Mega Man!

I am also known as the "Blue Bomber"
I could shoot the legs off Jeffrey Dahmer

Kill a robot fish, kill a robot frog,
and then I ride off on my robot dog

Mehhhh-gaaaaaahh Maaaaaan
Mega maaaaaan....
THREE...

...PART THREE."

^_^

Hope you had fun, check out brentalfloss :)

DOs and DONTs in LIFE

>> 28 January, 2009

Forwarded emails are not much to my liking, it often crams up my inbox. Some are useful and some are a total waste of time!

In this blog entry, I want to share a forwarded email that should be read by everybody. The email that I've received is originally entitled "Do's and Don't's in 2009" but when I've read the entire list, I gave it a bit of thought and epitomized that the things enumerated should always be implemented everyday not through this year only.

Anyway, here is the list...

Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 8 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.

Personality:
11. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake..
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come.
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Last but not the least:
40. Please Forward this to everyone you care about.

I'm not expecting anything from you as my readers but a little reflection and contemplation is what I want you to do. Thanks :)

DanceMachinesPH Group 2nd GEB

>> 27 January, 2009

I wanted to post this yesterday but the uploading of videos in youtube took a lot of time.

Yup it's our second meet. Sure glad we get to see each other again because we desperately (hehehe..) wanted an eyeball but there wasn't that much time after our first one. Everybody's schedule was full so squeezing this event wasn't a trip to the park.

Almost all of the members of our group are graduating students, but good thing we got to make a few adjustments for our eyeball because it's quite inevitable that their last few weeks of their school days are the most busiest ones. But it was quite unfortunate that some of us didn't had the time to share the fun :(

Anyway, the first thing that I've noticed when we saw each other was our dramatic change from head to toe and inside out! It's like we've never seen each other for years!! hehehe..

Oh btw, Chris asked me what the DanceMachinesPH Group is, well my friend, our group is for Filipinos who love to play dance machine related games in the arcade like Dance Dance Revolution, Pump it Up, Dance Maniax, ParaParaParadise, Ez2dancer, etc.. :) Visit us at YouTubeMultiply, and Forums :)

I'll let the pictures and the videos tell what happened:) We had loads of fun, hope we could do this again :)

VIDEOS

Locomotion c/o Ardz

Baila Baila c/o Ian

Concoction Part 2! A must watch if you want a few laughs :)

^_^

I guess that's it. I once again plug our group, you can visit us at our YouTube, Multiply or Forums :)

James' "How To Clean and Secure Your PC" video

>> 24 January, 2009

Our laptop is freakishly sluggish! There were times when my web browser is paralyzed and times when you have to wait hours for a program to load itself! Making the previous blog entry about the Downandup computer worm made me think if a malware has invaded my laptop... Hope not...

I've searched through some videos online and found James' interesting video entitled, "How To Clean and Secure Your PC". In the video, he tells us what softwares he recommends to install.

Oh btw, he has a very funny accent hehehe...

Without further ado, here is the video.

I've just finished downloading the recommended softwares. I gave CCleaner a test and it's terrific! I'll try the other ones later.

Okay, so the only thing I have to figure out is a heavy duty virus scanner. Any recommendations?

Downandup computer worm

>> 22 January, 2009

There are news today that a computer worm called Downandup/Conficker is at large, infecting 9 million PC's to date.

It says on the article that I've read, the malware comes from infected USB's. Once you've plugged your USB, a usual activity that would appear on your screen is an autorun, displaying tasks for the USB. But this virus modifies the autorun, adding an additional selection that says, "Install or run program."

Image credit to F-Secure. Edited by me.

To avoid this malware, you better open your USB manually or you can turn off your autorun. If your PC got infected, download the removal tool from F-Secure.

I've downloaded the removal tool and tested here in the office... I don't know what exactly happened but I think it doesn't work... :p

I don't know why this virus is a huge threat. I've searched for possible news about its effects but I've got nothing... Then again, if they say that we should be cautious to this matter, then we should. Better deal with this or suffer thy consequences... Whatever that is...

OOOOOOOOOBAMA!!!!

>> 21 January, 2009

Yep, it's OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBAMA!!!! hehehe... If someone shout it out that way, it's like a super hero has come to save our day. Oh, and here he is now :)

^_^

I would like to say that President Barack Obama is a cool guy! No words can ever describe this legendary man!

For starters, Obama got class! Like totally! His "Yes We Can" video is a touch of modern campaigning without ruining the message of his speech!

I can also say that he a romantic guy, family-oriented, a dedicated man to lead the country, and not a dork because he used to play basketball.

^_^

Oh btw, I've bought 2 newspapers today from different companies with Obama as their headline :)

Anyway, I'll leave you with this video of Obama Girl with her song "I've got a Crush on Obama"

Atheists are spreading the word...

>> 20 January, 2009

For the past two weeks, there was this Yahoo! News about atheists who mocked Christians who have said if we don't accept Christianity, we would suffer for eternity in hell! This thought made a group of atheists in Britain to post tarpaulin's on buses with the phrase, "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."

I didn't actually pay much attention to this matter because I thought it was just a simple plot to annoy Christians and I thought that this news would be left unheard and be left unseen by the rest of the world... but I was wrong... It has spread out much further! Atheists from around the globe has joined this campaign.

My opinion. I'm a Christian and I've got nothing against Atheists. We live in a world filled with freedom, rights, and opinion. I respect Atheists and I know they respect us too. Anyway, the thought of suffering in hell is a scare!

Legion of Super Heroes ROCKS!!!

>> 19 January, 2009

Okay, some of you might have already watched the Season 2 of the show but I haven't so I'm posting this just now :p

I must say that the first 2 episodes of the second season has blown me away! The entire legion are getting more mature and the story has gone way better! The season started from a future Superman getting help from the Legion of Super Heroes... WAIT!!! Why am I even telling you this?! You must watch the show! NOW! NOW! NOW! NOT later!! NOOOOWWWWW!!! hehehe... you won't regret it :)

Anyway, I've been adoring TV series like this especially when it came out from a comic book because it shows that a super hero is not and it shows what they've done, before they became solo. I've always been a fan of The Justice League, Teen Titans, and Legion of Super Heroes

Anyway here are some nifty images I've found from searching for pictures about the LOSH.

Cute :)

Whoever made these comics sure have a superb imagination. Thank you, you did not disappoint me :)

Trivia Quiz : Answers

>> 16 January, 2009

Thank you to the people who answered the trivia quiz questions from my Monday blog entry. Some of the answers below may cause severe debate which is why I've told you in my last post that the discussions that I've made with the boss was indubitably fun :)

Here are the answers...

1. Do they have a fourth of July in England? Yes or No?
Answer: Yes. I know what you're thinking but hear me out first. In terms of event, there isn't any fourth of July in England but in terms of date then the question is definitely true. It's hard to accept such an answer right? Well I did answered "No" too.

Let's put it this way, Is there a 25th of December? Of course it's Christmas but you should take note that not everybody celebrates this season.

My boss and I had a tough discussion with this one and believe me, I'm still puzzled with the answer.

2. How many birthdays does the average man have?
Answer: 1, because man lives only once.

3. Some months have 31 days; how many have 28?
Answer: 12, because all the months have 28 in them.

4. In baseball, how many outs are there in an inning?
Answer: 3 outs per team. There are two teams in a game then the answer is 6.

5. Can a British gentleman legally marry his widow's sister?
Answer: No, because the guy is dead. I honestly thought this question involves three persons.

6. Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What is the answer?
Answer: 70. Divide 30 by .5 then add 10

7. If there are 3 apples and you take out 2, how many do you have?
Answer: 2. This is a tricky question because the words "take out" has two meanings. It's either you took the apples or you remove the apples from its position.

8. A doctor gives you three pills telling you to take one every half hour. How many minutes would the pills last?
Answer: 60 minutes.

Example:
1:00 p.m. - 1st pill
1:30 p.m. - 2nd pill
2:00 p.m. - Last pill

9. A farmer has 17 sheep standing in a field and all but 9 drop down and die. How many sheep are left standing?
Answer: 9. Waahhhh!!! another debate we had with this one. If you read the question really carefully it says that "17 sheep are standing and all but 9". So it's kinda a reversed thingie.

10. How many members of each animal did Moses take on the ark?
Answer: None. It's not Moses, it's Noah.

11. A clerk in  a butcher shop is 5'10" tall. What does he weigh?
Answer: Meat or chicken or pork etc.

So how did you do? Any violent reactions? :)

Cold climate in the Philippines

>> 13 January, 2009

It's time to take out your coats, jackets, or sweaters that can shield yourselves from the breezing weather were having in our country. It's quite unusual that our climate has gone this much cold! The Christmas season didn't even reach to this point of dropping temperatures! And besides, Christmas has already passed but the feeling of winter wonderland is still present.

I've heard news that this cold weather were experiencing will last 'til March! I don't know how much coldness I could take! It would take days 'til some of us gets used to this climate!

As far as I know, and as to what my parents told me years ago, the reason why the Philippines is experiencing a sudden rush of freezing temperatures is because of the melting of ice in the northern countries atop of our country.

Anyway, come and sing along with me.. *clears throat*

OOOhhhh....

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town AGAIN!!! :p

Trivia Quiz

>> 12 January, 2009

It was just another usual day at work. All the things that has happened before has been repeating itself... Oh what joy it brings... *groans* O_o I'm being sarcastic again..

Anyway, when I was in the comfort room, I saw a series of papers taped on the wall. One of the bosses in our office has challenged us all to solve 11 trivia questions he has for us. The first 3 persons to get it all correct shall win a prize :)

We were not obliged to answer it but I'll give it a shot. I'm one of those persons who loves to solve these :) As I went through the questions, I thought it would be easy but dang it! There were some pretty tough and tricky ones!

Here is the list. Care to answer these? :)
1. Do they have a fourth of July in England? Yes or No?

2. How many birthdays does the average man have?

3. Some months have 31 days; how many have 28?

4. In baseball, how many outs are there in an inning?

5. Can a British gentleman legally marry his widow's sister?

6. Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What is the answer?

7. If there are 3 apples and you take out 2, how many do you have?

8. A doctor gives you three pills telling you to take one every half hour. How many minutes would the pills last?

9. A farmer has 17 sheep standing in a field and all but 9 drop down and die. How many sheep are left standing?

10. How many members of each animal did Moses take on the ark?

11. A clerk in  a butcher shop is 5'10" tall. What does he weigh?

Answers shall be posted this Friday :) Anyway, on my first try, I got a 5. On my second I got a 3 and on my third I got a score of 5 again. The boss doesn't tell us to which quesions we got right so it's hard to identify to which ones I didn't get correctly.

A word of note... we still do our work, this was just a bit of fun that our boss came up with :)

After a long day, no one got a perfect score so no one gets the prize :p My friend got a 10, too bad she missed question number 4.

Anyway, I got into a deep discussion with the boss about the questions he posted and how I came up with my answers. It was uber fun!!! :)

So have you come up with the answers yet? You still have 4 days more answer these, Good Luck :)

Movies I'm looking forward to

>> 10 January, 2009

There is a good line up of movies this year. I'm quite excited to see some at the cinemas. There may be some popular ones but I won't hesitate to watch it... unless being obliged or with someone who really does want to watch it :)

Bride Wars
Starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway

A lot of people like this movie but I've read a lot of bad reviews from people watching this movie but hey! I think I'll give this a shot and when I hate it then I'll make a review :) hehehe... Maybe "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is worse than this, the story is nice even the graphics but the ending was pure blank!

Bedtime Stories
Starring Adam Sandler

I'll totally watch this. I love Adam Sandler's movies from Happy Gilmore, Anger Management and the likes! :) They're all funny!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint

I don't like Harry Potter movies because the books rock the most but I will still watch this because the effects are indeed nice.

I guess that's it! Oh btw Transformers has a sequel entitled "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" but I think I'll wait it on HBO :)

Baby Clothes

>> 06 January, 2009

My goddaughter, Wynona, is having her first birthday this Saturday so buying a gift for her is a must. She is my first goddaughter but I don't know how to shop for baby stuff! I asked Ian for some advice because he has a lot of godsons and goddaughters so like yeah he knows what to buy for them. Anyway, he told me clothes are the best.

Later this afternoon, I went to the mall and into the infants section filled with baby stuff from shoes to bibs to stuffed toys to educational rhythmic videos to clothes and to anything you could ever imagine to give a baby is there!

But I wasn't prepared to what I was about to experience. It wasn't like the usual shopping for my clothes thingie... this one is different... When I entered the infants section, it's like going into a new dimension! An unknown territory ready to be stepped upon... It's uber weird! I don't feel like to shop for babies, not my thing... But I did enjoyed picking clothes for Wynona :)

There are a lot of stuffed toys in one corner of the infant section hehehe... so cute :)

Anyway, I finished my shopping with a help from a saleslady. I bought a yellow, flowery patterned, soft textured dress with a mini white shirt included hehehe.. Hope it fits her X_x; hehehe...

A contemplation...

I don't know if this attitude that I've showed is about me being clueless to what to buy or me lacking experience with infants or me not prepared to be a dad in the future. What do you think?

Toy Crane Machine

>> 04 January, 2009

Do you know those rectangular glass or cylinder coin-operated machines filled with teddy bears, or stuffed animals inside that ranges from colors, shapes, sizes, and how fuzzy they are? I looked it up on the net and it's called a "Toy Crane Machine."

My friend Ian got addicted to toy crane machines that one time when he went to the arcade with his friends, he had a big plastic bag loaded with stuffed animals. They're all cute, cuddly, and fluffy :)

I told him that he is wasting a lot of money because often times the stuffed toy slips out of the hand-like crane. I'm not into this kind of stuff and I think that all the toy crane machines is a huge scam!

That is, 'til today....

I was in the arcade waiting for my turn to play Pump it Up. There is this side of the arcade with toy crane machines so I went by and saw a lot of people from different age groups trying their luck to get a prize.

It was fun watching them for I was like guessing if the crane will catch the toy or not, or whether it will be steady enough to hold it.

I was like, I think I can do better. So I bought some tokens and tried my luck to catch a stuffed animal. But darn! it slipped off the crane! I had a few more tries and it did caught the toy but it always slips right off!

Believe me, it's so addictive! Token after token, I've bought like 50 of 'em!!! Now I know how Ian felt :p

Anyway, the big ones are hard to catch so I tried my luck with the small key-chain sized ones. After a few tries, I have build-up a technique on how to get them...

Then...

WAAHHHHH!!!! I CAUGHT ONE!!!!

^_^

No words can ever describe to what I felt that time. It's the first stuffed animal I caught in a toy crane machine ever! weeeeeeeeee....!!!! :) I thought of getting another one, it took a few tries and voila! I got another!!!! :)

Here is a picture of my stuffed key-chain animals. There was a bigger size before but it was replaced by something else.

They don't have names yet but I'll let you know... or not.. hehehe... Btw, I'm planning to give one to a special friend :)

Can't sleep!

>> 03 January, 2009

This will be a quick post... I can't sleep! Been thinking a lot of things but now that I'm kinda sleepy, I'll try and hit the pillows.

But first, I want everyone to know that I've joined to 3 fanlistings, namely: Harry Potter books, Pump it Up, and to Pixar Animation Studios. You can see the codes on my sidebar at my "Et Cetera." So why did I tell you this? Oh nothing much got nothing else to say hehehe... :p

For everybody's viewing pleasure, here are some funny Pixar Short films that I've recently watched from youtube. These short films are always played before the actual Pixar movie. Enjoy :)

Jack Jack Attack!
If you remember the last scenes of the The Incredibles, Helen aka Elastigirl was listening to the voice messages left by the babysitter. Well this is the behind the scenes to all of it :) COOL!!!

Presto
A very funny short film! This was played before Wall-E. I enjoyed watching both films in the big screen :) Oh btw, I'll be making a movie review about Wall-E :)

I guess that's it. Got to go to sleep!!!
